Strength vs Technique

There is often an assumption that strong people will be able to drive a golf ball a long distance, but this is definetly not always true. The technique is hitting a ball is much more important and effective.

A small scrawny person can easily out-drive a muscular one. If you can hit a ball in the right place everytime, then your driving will not be effected by your physical strength very much at all. It is merely the speed of the swing rather than the power put behind it.

So, do not worry about strength in the game of golf – technique always beats it.
